Likewise, our wood facade, WOODFAC, is a fireproof and beautiful choice for exclusive facade decoration. Woodfac is available both as a closed system (like a climate screen) that protects the building and as an open system with a view of the building's load-bearing facade.
The system, lamellae, design and function are entirely up to you and can be customized to suit virtually all wishes and needs.
We supply wooden lamellae in any wood species, but offer End Use classification tests on the following wood species; Thermo-D Ash, Thermo-D Pine, Thermo-D Pine Premium, Western red cedar and Thermo-D Ayous. In addition, Accoya is also available, but there is no classification test on it.
All wood types are quite durable and functional as facade cladding. They each have their own look and their choice depends mainly on the desired appearance of the facade. Thermo-treated slats in pine and ash are often the preferred choice. The heat treatment increases the lamellae's dimensional stability, resistance and longevity.
Ayous is a beautiful, exclusive wood species in brownish and warm shades with an almost knot-free surface. Ayous lamellae are also available heat-treated and have a lifespan of at least 30 years.
Cedar is one of the types of wood that is naturally quite resistant to wind and weather and therefore does not require heat treatment.
