Napsu is a Facade solution with clean sharp lines, fast assembly, long lifetime and sustainable documentation. 

It is an open facade system like Woodfac Click with the difference that Napsu is a Facade solution with aluminum slats instead of wood.

The open system provides a fine view of the building's load-bearing facade, making it possible to compose a living architecture created through light, shadows, materials and design.

The system offers corner solutions, various cover profiles, solutions for curved Facades and reinforcement profiles that allow for a large free span both horizontally and vertically.‍

Napsu is also an ideal system for technical shielding. It is both attractive and practical, and the flexible design of the slats makes it possible to achieve different degrees of shielding. See more here.

Woodfac Click is an open facade system with optional wooden lamellae on an underlying structure of recycled aluminium. With a view of the building's load-bearing facade, it is possible to compose a living architecture created through light, shadows, materials and design.

With wooden lamellae as full or partial cladding, you can construct beautiful and timeless facades with a natural and warm appearance that develops a beautiful patina over time.

The system offers corner solutions, various cover profiles, solutions for curved Facades and reinforcement profiles that enable large free spans - both horizontally and vertically.

Woodfac Panel is a closed facade system with optional wooden lamellae on a back structure of recycled aluminium.

The system acts as an effective climate envelope that protects the building from the effects of the weather, while the facade retains its breathability thanks to the ventilation behind it.

The system offers a wide range of accessory profiles for finishing and framing around doors and windows.

Installation

Wood lamella

Wood lamellae are produced in FSC^® or PEFC™ certified wood with the assurance of responsible and sustainable forestry.

Cradle to Cradle certified flame retardant is used for fireproofing wooden lamellae, which, with 100% natural substances, is non-toxic, VOC emission-free and 100% degradable.

The thermal treatment of the lamellae ensures dimensional stability and unique longevity with a durability of up to +50 years, depending on the wood species.

Thermal movement

Thermal movement refers to the natural expansion and contraction of materials as a result of temperature changes.

Thermal movement is integrated into all our facade solutions, allowing the individual components of the systems to move individually in relation to each other. This ensures that there are no internal stresses, strains or structural damage in both individual components and as an overall facade solution.

Aluminium structure

The structure and profiles of the facade system are made from certified recycled aluminium.

Greenline® aluminium is 100% collected and recycled aluminium with a very low carbon footprint of only 1.8 kg CO2-eq/kg compared to primary aluminium, which has a footprint of 11.1.

As an installed facade system, Woodfac is the only facade solution on the market that is end-use tested and approved according to BR18. BR18 and passed to B-s1,d0 / B-s2,d0 - depending on the type of wood.

We specialize in fire classes, requirements, regulations and documentation needs for wooden facade solutions and offer advice to ensure passive fire protection in the initial phase of the building project.

OUTDOOR WOODEN LAMELLAE,
WHEN THE FACADE NEEDS TO IMPRESS

Wood is a great carbon reducing material to use as an outdoor facade panel.

Nordisk Profil recommends different types of wood, all of which are particularly suitable for exterior cladding due to their dimensional stability, resistance, durability and fire class.

They vary in expression in terms of colors and knots, but regardless of type, facade lamellae will patina over time and give a look in more greyish tones and shades. The patination depends on location, but will always be affected by the surrounding environment,

There may be a desire to install pre-patinated lamellae, which we did with our Papirøen project. Here, all lamellae are patinated identically before installation - a process that Nordisk Profil handles in collaboration with the architect and client.
