Preservation-worthy transformation

Aggersvold Estate is a beautiful gem in West Zealand, consisting of several different buildings.

In 2023, the estate's facilities were transformed into a modern meeting and conference hotel where the former riding hall now houses some beautiful hotel rooms.

The old stable building was distinctive with a special red-colored wooden cladding that ran like a band around the entire facade.

Inspired by the building's origins, the architectural and preservation-worthy feature of the red "ribbon", which today also serves as a sunshade, has been retained.

The solar shading, which consists of colored and fire-resistant lamellas in thermo ash, is executed with Nordisk Profil's Woodfac Click facade system.

This so-called 'open' facade solution is perfect for screening, where the lamellae are designed with vertical installation to screen in a natural and not least original way for the benefit of hotel guests.

The lamellae are constructed in the length 24x142 mm and mounted with a cc-distance of 192 mm. They are also fire-impregnated, system fire tested and passed to B-s1,d0. What's very special for these wooden lamellae is their surface treatment (fire paint) with a colour called 'Swedish Red'.
