Aggersvold Estate
Preservation-worthy transformation
Aggersvold Estate is a beautiful gem in West Zealand, consisting of several different buildings.
In 2023, the estate's facilities were transformed into a modern meeting and conference hotel where the former riding hall now houses some beautiful hotel rooms.
The old stable building was distinctive with a special red-colored wooden cladding that ran like a band around the entire facade.
Inspired by the building's origins, the architectural and preservation-worthy feature of the red "ribbon", which today also serves as a sunshade, has been retained.
The solar shading, which consists of colored and fire-resistant lamellas in thermo ash, is executed with Nordisk Profil's Woodfac Click facade system.
This open Facade solution is perfect for screening, where Lamellae is designed with vertical mounting to provide a natural and original screening solution for the benefit of hotel guests.
The slats are 24x142 mm, installed with a cc distance of 192 mm, fire impregnated and system fire tested to B-s1,d0. Their special surface treatment in Swedish Red emphasizes the architectural heritage and gives a unique look.
