Architect: Living Houses

Facade system: Woodfac Panel

With a Danish accent

In Silkeborg, a new residential area called Sommerfugleparken was established in 2023.

Here, 24 senior apartments are linked by small gardens and a path system that together create a shared atmosphere in this beautiful community.

Sommerfugleparken was built by the type house company Levehus, which has chosen a classic Danish and modern building style in the form of clean lines with the red brick as the main facade element.

Common to the 24 homes is the installation of thermal louvres at the entrance. In addition to adding a beautiful and warm touch to the classic bricks, they also have a practical function.

The slats are our Woodfac Panel façade system, which serves as a climate screen and protects the façade. Here they are selected in 34x34 mm and mounted with a cc distance of 70 mm.

The system offers a wide range of accessory profiles for finishing and framing doors, windows (reveal profiles) and other façade elements. This makes it easy to combine the wooden slats with other facade materials and achieve beautiful results. Sommerfugleparken is a fine example of this.
