Despite its size, the large, beautiful parking garage in Vejle is a feast for the eyes and an architectural gem within parking garages.

The striking feature of this building - in addition to its size - is the use of wooden lamellae as the load-bearing facade element.

We manufacture and supply facade solutions for many parking garages, but most often aluminium is chosen as the primary material or a combination of both.

But here, the architectural expression is created with our Woodfac Click solution, where 140x42mm lamellae with a c.t.c spacing of 300mm are installed, in combination with Corten plates.

The exciting and special thing is not specifically the choice of wood, but it is the fact that it is climate-friendly, fire-resistant and dimensionally stable, making it perfect for a building like this. 

The staggered lamellae are mounted at a 30° angle in combination with straight lamellae. This gives a nice architectural play and with the choice of wood, it matches its surroundings beautifully.
