FOG
A sustainable flagship
In January 2024, the timber and DIY chain Fog opened their new headquarters in Lyngby, where sustainability has been central to both material selection and the use of modular, recyclable components.
The head office as well as the large parking garage and the "bridge" that connects the buildings are built with fire-resistant wooden slats in thermofyr and thermoask respectively.
In this fine building clad with wooden slats, Nordisk Profil has supplied the entire facade for the head office and walkway as well as being a partial supplier for the parking garage.
The facade of the head office is set up with 34x34 mm slats with a cc distance of 106 mm, where the parking garage facade facing Firskovvej is set up with 34x34 mm and 34x68 mm slats and the same cc distance of 106 mm.
The wooden slats are set up with a larger optional cc distance of 106 mm and two optional lengths of 34x34 mm and 34x68 mm.
Materials with care
By using wood as the primary façade element, a significantCO2 reduction and increased cost-efficiency is achieved, making it easier to meet stricter climate requirements.
All our façade systems are also made with Greenline Aluminum, which is 100% collected and recycled. And last but not least, we only use certified wood and the most sustainable Cradle to Cradle certified fire retardant.
Likewise, the wooden slats and the underlying mounting system are ideal for future expansion, as all components can be taken down and either recycled into new products or reused 1:1 in other façade projects.
It is therefore not without reason when we say that our façade systems are a sensible, future-proof and "correct" choice.
